Pismo Beach Surf Shop started in 1962 with its original owner Ralph "Boots" Miller and continues today with Bill Bookout and friends.

At Pismo Beach Surf Shop we are here for all of your water sport needs from Surfing, Kayaking, Scuba Diving or Stand up paddle Boarding.

We Sell the Best Surfboards in Town with our original 1962 Logo. We Sell a wide variety of Boogie Boards and Wet Suits. We are the Central Coast largest seller of Ocean Kayaks from Ocean Kayaks, Malibu kayaks and Cobra kayaks. Need a Surf Lesson. We have been teaching Surfing since the 60's and are here for all your needs.!

It was 1962 on Addie Street in Pismo Beach that Pismo Beach Surf Shop began under a Brand New House on Piers.

Ralph "Boots" Miller and Tom Wynn started this amazing adventure in Pismo Beach.

Remember this was the 60"s and boy did we have fun!

This is at our third location in Pismo Beach around 1967.

Pismo beach surf shop started in 1962

It was the 60's

In 1962 Ralph "Boots" Miller Graduated Arroyo Grande High School and began Pismo Beach Surf Shop with Tom Wynn. The Photo on the right was taken from the Arroyo Grande Yearbook.

The 60's were a fun time in the Pismo Beach Early Surfing Days and what was happening in the California surfing world was also happening in Pismo Beach. (The Arroyo Grande CLASS OF 1967) brought a change to Pismo. Again remember this was the 60"S

In 1967 Pismo Beach Surf Shop was sold to Kent Smith. Kent Smith later went on to Hawaii and Built Surfboards for Jerry Lopez (Lightning Bolts) and then Kent Smith Surfboards.

In 2009 Bill Bookout became the New owner of Pismo Beach Surf Shop bringing back it's Historic Logo designed by Ralph "Boots" Miller. Ralph has been instrumental in seeing legacy revived.
